Perspective Pill that wont Kill pt4 by ArtofSyo Perspective Pill that wont Kill pt4 by ArtofSyo
Finally, I finished my 4th perspective tutorial. This one is on circles... well cups. It's hard to draw cups on tables... so I hope this helps. I know this trick helped me.

Note: Please do a better job at measuring than I. I rechecked my glass cup because it did look off to me as well, and it appears one of the lines is 1mm shorter than the other side, which makes ALL the difference.

This is neat! I haven't really seen many tutorials for perspectives with circles. Thanks for sharing.

The left cup looks pretty good! I think this only works for digital drawings, though, since it isn't practical to draw the two grids for manga panels. I actually have a different guide in my book I am just too lazy to use... But your guide makes me want to not be lazy and use stencils for the circles.

This would be using the same grid for the background. I once made a grid, used tracing paper over it to get the background, then another layer for objects, put it all together on a light board and drew it in the frame. It took a little bit of time, but was worth it.

The tapered one looks it, I'm thinking because of it's angle, or maybe I measured the side wrong. Lol But over all, this is how it's done.

The tapered cup perspective is wrong. You would have to make make a rectangular prism and then a cylinder inside of that.
